About Fat Bottom
Fat Bottom Coolers incorporates a new design on an old industry. We’re a cooler company designed for people who enjoy getting a little dirty, tailgating, camping, back roading, boating, having an overall great time, and standing out from the crowd while they do it. The unique shape of our cooler not only sets you apart from the rest of the crowd but also creates tapered sides and a thinner portion towards the top. This is where Fat Bottom’s design stands out. When a strap is placed around the thinner portion of the cooler and tightened, this becomes your attachment point to tie the cooler down, it also becomes extra storage for anything that you can strap or attach.
Fat Bottom Origin
Fat Bottom Coolers was born in 2020 after Marcus was annoyed with strapping and unstrapping traditional coolers down while enjoying rafting, riding, and getting out in the great outdoors. He thought that if the bottom of the cooler were just slightly larger than the middle then a strap could be placed around the thinner part of the cooler and work like a belt around your waist. After looking at the coolers that are available, which all look the same, he noticed that there was nothing like this on the market. After several prototypes he decided to make the cooler curvy. He knew that bringing such a unique cooler to the market and naming it Fat Bottom Coolers, had to be made in America.
After being told he could never make in America and that it would be too expensive, he finally found an American manufacture that would take a chance with a new product. Fat Bottom Coolers did not set out to create a cooler that would hold ice for ten days, we wanted to create a product that is easy to use and strap in, allows access to the cooler without any additional add-ons, and looks great doing it. I believe we have succeeded in this by creating a cooler that is as unique as our customers. And Yes, Fat Bottom Coolers will hold ice as long as our competitors!
